One stop shopping village for arts and crafts which is conveniently located at the centre of Victoria falls central business district.VFAM is a market place for modern and contemporary art works e stone and wooden sculptures, crafts paintings and clothing.It was founded by Mayor Zvawanhu in 2008 as a platform to showcase artworks from artist based in remote areas of Zimbabwe whom he believes their artworks lack exposure to the international world .
To date the VFAM has more than 3000 artworks displayed within its premises and is representing more than 500 artists from various country sides in Zimbabwe. The village features works from first and second generations of Zimbabwe Shona Sculpture artists and several different median artworks.
The VFAM is dedicated to promote the breath and depth of Zimbabwean artistry as a creative life giving force by ensuring that art form pillars of life thus distilling the best possibilities for changing lives. The VFAM aspires a world that recognizes the beauty and value of art in all forms of expression. Victoria Falls Art Mart is particularly concerned in preserving and enhancing the reputation of this unique Zimbabwean art form. VFAM’s aims to focus on and increase awareness of Zimbabwe’s individual talents to go beyond the collective appraisal of “SHONA SCULPTURE”.
